Intimacy is the best word to describe my artworks. I paint with the intimate connection I feel with the subjects which are often overlooked because of their ordinary nature, be it still life or a landscape.

The shapes & colours of my organic objects offer a dramatic mood when displayed in a different perspective. It makes me excited to bring them out. I also like to celebraete the urban beauty of this emerging city of Calgary that I now call home.

The acrylic medium seems to best express the colours of my thoughts and the intimacy & affection of my passion for my subjects.

My works are greatly influenced by masters such as Georgia O' Keeffe, Emily Carr & Vincent Van Gogh. These days I  give in to practically any shapes & colours my eyes encounter and trust their sense of calling to be revealed on a stretched canvas.

I am a Graphic Designer by trade, worked freelance and now I am painting more seriously since 2005. Born in Viet-Nam, raised in Montreal & having lived in the US for sometime, I am happy to find home in the Oil and Gas city.
